One possible direction in which we might be heading.

Obs. 1: With the rising petrol prices and prices of all other amenities, I sometimes wonder, what will happen when it will  become too costly for companies to hire us. The transport cost/ allowance will become a major part of our compensation. The food will follow.

Obs. 2: Also, we see a rapid increase every year, in the speed of accessible and affordable internet.

Obs. 3: I see another idea blooming among MNCs, the idea of working from home.

If we try to put the pieces together, it is not tough to see what might be in store. We might be heading towards a global  phenomena called 'Everybody working from home'. Though I am not a supporter of the idea as it will kill the social life of an individual completely making only virtual presence necessary, I would like to see a world free of the pollution of the millions of cars that travel to work and back everyday.

Met your mate?

One of my friends, Kunal Gupta, recently wrote a note on Facebook. It suggested, all actions of a person are a desire for glory.

I completely agree.

I just want to add another dimension to it. All actions of a person are linked with glory. All glory is linked with finding the best mate.

Animals and all other beings on this planet act on the motivation that the opposite sex would long for them and would desire them as a mate. By Darwin's theory, they evolve, and the fittest survive. They fight to prove themselves the best amongst the clan, because the best gets the privilege to chose, or in some species, the best gets it all.

Likewise do humans. All their actions are aimed at impressing the cult of the opposite sex that they might be interested in. When a person paints, it is because she/he wants to get appreciated and noticed. The want to be seen on television, or performing on stage are similar examples. Adventure sports are the want to prove to the opposite sex that you are tough and worthy. A business venture, or earning money, are signs that you can provide a good future. The desire to look beautiful, needs no explanation.

Although some people might argue that they paint for their own satisfaction, or a classical performance should not be linked to something as inauspicious as sex, but a word of caution: I am not talking about sex here. I am talking about finding a mate and carrying forward the legacy, that is YOU.

If you are overtly religious, it is simply because you want to find a similar religious mate. If you play sports, you want to win. You want to win because you want glory, you want glory ... because, you want to find a good mate. If you want good education, and want to get into a good college, it is so that you earn big bucks and later find a good mate.

This is not a declaration. The idea got planted in my head a long time ago, a documentary. I am not saying that all of us would agree on it, but I am certainly saying that none of us would deny it completely, neither would anyone repudiate the very existence of it. This could be an on going debate. Just an attempt to add another dimension to your thought process.

Plastic Bag!

The ban on plastic bags. I now proudly say that Rajasthan is a plastic free state, and when I say this, I myself can't believe that it is being followed, but it's true. Before August 1 this year, everyone was wondering if this time too, the ban would be like other attempts of the government, just in the papers. I wondered too. But it was a pleasure to start noticing changes in small towns like Pilani itself. The places where plastic bags seemed like an absolute necessity, have also found newer methods. To cite an example: groceries. I went to the grocery section of a departmental store and saw that they had done away with all the separate plastic bags for each variety of vegetable. Now they had baskets which had to be used up to billing and then the customers had to oblige by taking their new belongings in their own shopping bags. Winds of Change.

Pilani

Pilani has it all, all it takes to make me fall in love all over again. In love with the tree lined streets, the shining clock tower on a vibrant backdrop of rain filled clouds and the aura with which the place welcomed me.
The serene breeze in the ground rustles across my face and asks me, what is it that I am missing?
I see 360 around and see dark clouds covering the sky without a patch that would let me see the stars beyond. Occasional spells of thunder and a serene breeze rustling across my face. After a while, the clouds disperse a little, letting us peep into the amazing world beyond.
I could teach the little girl Laali how to connect the dots in the sky and make a spoon, but what she could teach me was how to tilt the spoon and make an S. Imagination.
Warmth, I found unlimited when I visited Meera Bhavan's didis n mess wala bhaiyas. They said, 'Behanji, hame yaad hai, mithai khilai thi aapne jab naukri lagi thi, ab dobara bhi khilana jab shadi ho tab' and dazzling smiles packaged along with such innocent comments. No questions, just happiness lurking on their faces with the satisfaction of recognition from a previous dweller.
The one question that I was asked a dozen times was, 'aap yaha kaise? aapka toh course khatam ho gaya tha na'. My unruffled smile tries to explain, my time will never be enough. This place belongs to me, I belong here...

dreams

Dreams are a manifestation of one’s worst fears. When you dream something and try to churn it, you realise that it holds true as a symbol wherein your mind tries to make you decipher the roots of your fears. You may not even realise that you care for that particular event unless you dream of it, because when you dream of it, you find your subconscious trapped in the exact situation that you are unintentionally afraid of. Not many times are dreams very explicit, but when they are, they will show you a movie, a movie of what actually goes on at the back of your mind while you are lost in day to day worldly matters. When you are awake, your mind is at work and there is another portion of your brain, referred to as the subconscious, which is inactive. It stores your inner thoughts. Your mind carefully choses the thoughts that might be harmful to you and cautiously sends them to the background. This is called regression. It is only when you are asleep that this subconscious comes to action and unleashes your worst fears. So the next time you dream, try thinking about why you dreamt your dream.

edit

peeping into others personal lives is what a lot of people did this oasis. the spice of it all lies in the fun of doing it and then thinking that you got away with it when it had been so obvious that it was you who did it. do not misunderstand me, i am not talking about gossiping. that would be an understatement. i am talking about the ecstatic feeling you get when you try to dig into a 'friend's friend's' personal life through the newly popularized technologies or through the primitive ways of eavesdropping. well, be it social media or something else, peeping n trying to make things right in others' lives has not been the best of the things that a person should be worried about. let them be on their own.

garba

"You know why I like garba so much? That's because it makes me feel that there is nothing more important in this world except getting engrosed in the moment. The feeling of getting lost in the crowd and just tapping your feet to the awesome beats of the youthful songs... It is very different from any other dance in a lot of ways. Individuality is not maintained and that is what I like the most. When you dance garba you dance like any other dancer not worrying about how you dance or that someone might be watching. Only then does the actual meaning of dance comes to the forefront. It is meant to shatter all your worries and let you meditate in the moment. In garba, you keep doing the same step with everybody for hours and still it feels fresh. The act of synchronising your actions with everyone makes it happen. That precisely is what makes it my favourite form of dance."

against the flow

[I wrote this excerpt while interning in Mumbai. Everyday I used to travel from Churchgate to Lower Parel while the Mumbai crowd in general travels to Churchgate.]

I like to walk against the flow... always

I can see the expressionless bodies walk down the street heading to the same place they go everyday, when I am walking up. These faces tell me that if given a chance they would head back to where they were coming from... the luxury and comfort of their home.
The unprecedented advantage is that I can see everyone and everyone can see me... everyone sees me.
The road I walk upon, is the one less trodden, so I can pick on lonely fragrant flowers as I walk along. Flowers that have missed the eyes of so many because they were in a hurry to walk down the street the other way.
And if I keep walking along, I get to behold ignored destinations. And when I decide to enter one of these, I realize I have discovered a whole new world of thoughts and actions, a whole new arena of ideas and opportunities and a whole new empire inviting me to place a foot in and explore the untouched. And this is when I unravel that I was made to tread the 'wrong' path...I was meant to walk against the flow...

I pity so many people, in fact, I pity everyone entangled in the matrix. When you get married you give your best to keep up the relationship, but have you ever thought how much of your wishes and desires you are curbing to do it?? Don't you think twice before saying that tonight's dinner, I want to take with my friends and scrap off the plan I made with you... The same thing happens when you think you have fallen in love. Everything you do is to please your close one. You are so sure that it is him or her that you have to spend your entire life with and so you do your best to keep up the relationship in full spirits.
It is, after all, the matrix we are all strangled into. Expectations are the root cause of everything. I see my parents, they are a happy couple, but mom is always planning on how to keep the family emotionally satisfied and papa, always planning on how to keep the family financially satisfied. My dad always says that to keep up the marriage, if one of the couple loses temper the other must stay calm and handle the situation.
Everything seems so fake sometimes. It's like God set up everything and everyone is trying to idealize their own lives. But is this what is happiness?
It is the human mind that is continuously at work. The subconscious always tries to take you to the levels where you have wanted to go. It will tell you to perform actions that will give you a place in this world. It will make you express thoughts unintentionally which you know you must to make your relationship healthy.
But then there will be a time when everything around you will seem so fake. Everything that you have been doing till now will seem so obsolete, and that will be the time when your subconscious will actually become conscious and will guide you to the actual actions your self always wanted to perform. This is the stage when nothing around you will matter. No social stigmas would hold you back neither will you care about what people would say. That will be the time when you start feeling liberated, unlike the people who have actually not experienced it and are still deeply caught into human whirlpools.

[I owe credit of this post to a person who has changed my life by leaps]

innocence?

We had got our new car, an A-Star from Maruti Suzuki and obeying tradition, had gone to the temple for performing a 'puja' of the car. Well we intended just a 2 minute ceremony by making a swastik on it, but we got into the hands of a pundit and then there was no saying no. He performed an elaborate half an hour ritual with wierd sounding mantras and then asked us to put a lemon below each of the four tyres.
But this is not what the title is about. The title is about a little boy we found at the temple. A boy of about 7 or 8. My brother Nikhil was using the newly bought digital camera. The camera is sony cybershot DSC T77 with a touch screen and a pretty wide LCD display. Overall it was eye catchy for the destitute. Well, he was an innocent destitute. He stood near Nikhil while he was clicking pics of the 'elaborate' ceremony. After a while the boy asked Nikhil, ' Bhaiya what is this?'. Nikhil's attention shifted for sometime and he replied, ' Its a camera kid, and i am clicking photographs with it'.
The boy was silent for another sometime. Then he spoke again, ' Bhaiya, can u give it to me?'. Nikhil was amazed this time. He couldn't make out if the boy was trying to get hold of the cam and run away or did he not know the rules of social life. He replied,
'Why do you want it, what will you do with it?'
'I will click photographs just like you.'
'But do you even know how to click photographs?'
I will learn, and moreover, I will get something to play with.'
'Then what will i do?'
'You can get another one for yourself.'

Its a whirlpool

It is sometimes so amusing to realize that the world is woven together. Even if you want that some arbitrary event may not affect you.... ha ha... rest assured... that is not going to happen...

When one person does something that is wrong, the brunt is felt by everybody who even vaguely know her/him. And I am no exception.....

I came across a children's fable which beautifully describes this phenomenon

The Mouse Trap

Once a mouse lived in a mouse-hole of a farmer's house.
He looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

What food might this contain? '
The mouse wondered - - -
he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard,
the mouse proclaimed the warning:

There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!
The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said ,
'Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it. '

The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
' There is a mousetrap in the house !
There is a mousetrap in the house! '
The pig sympathized, but said, 'I am so very sorry Mr.Mouse, there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.'

The mouse turned to the cow and said
' There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house! '
The cow said, ' Wow, Mr. Mouse.
I ' m sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose.'

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap...alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife.
The farmer rushed her to the hospital,
and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup,
so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup ' s main ingredient.

But his wife ' s sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.
To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer ' s wife did not get well; she died.
So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you,
remember ---- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

REMEMBER. . . . . . EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY;
OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON.

And when one strand is pulled into a whirlpool the others cant get detached and say , hey i am not the one caught.... all of them have to drown together.

!!!!THE YO YO GROUP!!!! sahi bollla hu na

We had a great time at PS1 and sap ROX!!!!!!!….its members were, (in alphabetical order) Abhishek, Ankita (thats me), Abhinav, Dhwaj, Shubhanshi, Kshitij. The biggest achievement of the entire ps1 2k8 batch at CFCL has been the launching of the very rare and innovative brand of fund stocks “ the yo yo ”…. The future prospects and the market viability of which we leave to the upcoming PS1 batch to probe into.

Coz we cant include all the ppl in the acknowledgements, we wud like to mention them here.

We wud like to thank the chai wale bhaiya who kept us awake with his amazing teas throughout our stay in the lab tech office.

We wud also like to thank the bus wale bhaiya who drove us all the way 40 kms to n fro kota gadepan, without asking for the coupons even once. Moreover we had to travel from the shuttle bus to use our coupons now n then. ( well the last day that we were traveling he did ask if we had got the bus pass, n our faces blank we told him we will get it tomoro… hehe )

We wud also like to thank Satyanarayan bhaiya, the cab driver who used to give us a roller coaster feel-full ride to and from the hostel not forgetting his typical crash landing (jerky ending).

Also we thank the Transport section for making us wait which seemed like an eternity… so as to make us realize the importance of the depleting fossil fuels.

We wud also like to thank mess wale Tilak and Vasu bhaiya who served us with a shy n shier smile everytime.

We wud also like to thank Mr. Kaushik of the HR dept. who confronted us with the plight of the bachelor employees in CFCL.

We wud also like to thank the canteen wale bhaiya for making us wait at least 30 min so that we cud have more and more fun time together in the canteen.

We wud also like to thank Mr. Bday boy, for making us realize the fun of looking down to someone’s shoes when he is in the wrong uniform.

We wud also like to thank Tayal sir for dealing with us with true Bitsian spirit and treating us with Kota’s krispy kachoris.

We wud also like to thank Bahadur bhaiya, the chaat wala, for keeping us away from all the tasty delicacies every evening for the sake of preparing them properly.

Also we thank Mr. Saxena 1 for giving us a ‘room nikala’ and depriving us of the brilliant room we (girls) had. We (girls) had to spend our lazy afternoons in the stinky rooms of the boys. And ‘the Mr. Saxena 2’ for teaching us the mannerisms of growing up into a very responsible employee ( he was under the impression that we might come and join CFCL in the near future) to make this world a better place to live in. He exclaimed on seeing us with, “this is not a picnic spot”.

Finally we wud also like to thank Sir Arun ( our instructor in-charge) for his amazing laughter which used to set us all laughing :D :D :D :D :D :D (one for each of us)

It is just we or God who wud know how tough it was for us to bid each other farewell. The last day… we spent together, after we collected our stipend, Rs. 2500 each. It was definitely ‘the incident’, as we call it now, that brought us all so close. Abhinav who was the first one to leave, was sitting in the train and looking at us with a blank stare…. We asked him to come out until the train doesn’t move, but he replied that if he came out his eyes wud surely overflow…..

With lots of love …..

....the essence of motherhood....

Our house houses a family... other than mine... a family of 2 birds, called "Red-wattled Lapwing" or "titodi" in our indigenous language. the two birds in each season lay eggs n put their heart n soul into the endeavour of making them grow up... alive... making them survive.

These birds nest on land n like the other birds the mother protects and nurtures the eggs n the father guards against predators which r found right at their doorstep n everywhere around, like snakes monkeys n dogs. Its a tougher life for them after their young ones come out of the shell coz then they are mobile n easier for predators to spot.

It so happened that this season they laid four eggs.... all four of them were fortunate enough to survive to see the first site of this beautiful world. But every evening there is the fear of predators... monkeys watching from tree tops, snakes from places u cant even behold, all waiting for an opportunity to attack n take away the little ones.

But whatever it is.... its a great pleasure to see the cute little beings hop here n there in the garden, sometimes trying to hide themselves in the herbs of the kitchen garden n sometimes playing hide n seek with their siblings in the hedges....

That day my family was sitting in the veranda n gazing at this happy family. The 2 birds were guarding their young ones n the little ones hopping here n there in the garden. Suddenly after a while ... we heard squeaks of the 2 adult members of the family, they had started flying vigorously for some reason we could not understand. Then we caught hold of a monkey running n coming towards this happy family. All of us got up n tried to scare the monkey off.. but it eventually took one of the little birds with him. It went n sat on the compound wall n was feasting on its newly caught prey, n the mom n dad birds were continuously chirping loudly and flying atop the monkey.. trying to hurt him... as if they were forcing him to leave their baby alone.....
Mom went that way, n we followed. She said "बड़ा दर्द होता होगा न इस
माँ को... इसके अपने बच्चो को कोई इसी के सामने ....."
The next evening when i came back from PS i got the news that another kid was taken away by an eagle, and two days later the family was nowhere to be found in our premises.....

dreams unfulfilled

It was morning 8 and I was almost there at my PS station.
I had been travelling for over an hour now.
The phone rang ... it was
Dhvaj calling, one of my PS mates.
I didnt expect any such call at this time,
coz at this time hardly any of my other PS-mates get up. Well I thought may be he is calling to tell us, me n Shubhanshi, that there's not much of work today so it is possible for us to bunk.
But it was for
something that left us all stunned.

Just because a brief description of who these people are is necessary before i describe any further, here it goes. Our PS(Practise School) station, CFCL, is a little more than one hour drive from Kota, comprising of 6 Bitsians in PS1 ,namely:
me,
Shubhanshi n Dhvaj who are residents of Kota of which the two girls prefer a daily up down, and Kshitij, Abhinav and Abhishek.
5 other PS2 students are also registered.

The call gave us the shocking news..... the news which was in papers the next day.... the news which meant we were 10 Bitsians left on CFCL campus instead of 11 now...

It was all so cheerful the previous day, playing pranks on each other and everyone getting together and pulling shubhanshi's leg for some reason.PS2 was just about to get over ,in fact the PS2 students had the very same day given their last evaluated assignment. Training was getting over in less than 10 days which would make them 'a proud engineer'.
But it had to be a different way... the fateful swimming pool....

Two of his family members came to take him to Hyderabad, their native place, after completing the formalities. They were not his mom n dad... who would have been unable to see their only son lying without movement... the only son they were dreaming for...
that he would be an engineer soon...
and then he would get a sweet salary, his first one and hand it over to his mother.
And when he would be old enough ... he would get a daughter-in-law for them...
who would then give them a new heir to the family.....

but some dreams remain unfulfilled....

The 4 PS2 students shifted to the hostel with the PS1 guys, from the staff quarter that they were allotted earlier. This hopefully would not remind them of the place where he slept, the drawer where he kept his books, the almirah which used to hold his clothes.....
but still it did remind them... of everything that happened...

They hadn't slept for 2 nights... or rather couldn't sleep.

The reading room wont be that lively a place now, but we will try our best to revive it. For the 10 of us... the attitude for life will surely face a change... coz it always takes u through unexpected steep turns...
where u never know where u will end the next moment....
still on track........
or at the foot of the mountain.....

Just a moment please !!!!!

its not very pleasant to realise that we cant get back the days that have passed by... no matter how hard we try. my recent visit to baroda says it all. my time in Baroda, class 9th n 10th was the best time of my school life. i had a perfect group of friends. we were 7, out of which just 6 are left with us now. out of those 6, Nibha n Chaitali r studying in MSU Baroda, Shreya is in Mumbai, Dharini has shifted to Surat, Priyanka is in lakshmangarh, n my fate has taken me to Pilani.

In a hope that our golden times might be relived, i made a visit to my favourite city not realising the fact that i will be able to meet only Nibha n Chaitali. Even the colony that i loved, railway staff college has lost all its magic. it is no more that lively a place as it used to be.

Well, but i know all this was just to make me realise that the the present moment is what u have got n it is the best possible that u can get. so it is this moment that u must live happily, forgetting all tensions, all worries, n all complaints ...... coz this is what it is........ times just fly by... like snow on a mountain......u never know what God has in store for u the next moment.... u never know ..... what is there today might not even have a trace tomoro.......

The Touch Therapy

I feel so good whenever someone comes by my side and keeps his/her hand on my shoulder and says...... 'don’t worry Ankita, everything is going to be fine…..'

The touch,
The lovely soothing touch,
says it all.

I love the way mamma hugs me every time I need one. And the way Nikhil tickles me whenever I am depressed. And the way dad keeps his hand on my shoulder whenever I need his advice.

Well now,
this is not just a feeling. I am sure it works wonders with emotional illness, or feelings untouched.
Also, supporters of the 'touch therapy' claim that it can even cure physical illnesses like diabetes n heart ailments. Some people say that it is based on "the Einstein paradigm of a complex energetic field-like universe" (i.e., the existence of a Life energy flowing through and around all of us).

Whatever it is, I have always felt that my weakness and illness reduces so much once my mom comes and sits near me and places her hand on my forehead. It brings on a sweet smile on my face and I feel so much lighter. :)

The theory is that people who are ill have disturbed energy fields which need to be redirected. This can be done by moving trained hands over the person's body to create energy balance. And this is done without any physical contact!!!

Isn't it amazing?

Although there is no scientific research done to support the theory, but a study, initially proposed by a sixth grade girl for her science class, was conducted and published in JAMA( April 1 1998 ).

This was what I found on one of the sites: (http://your-doctor.com/patient_info/alternative_remedies/various_therapy/touch.html)

The question posed by the young investigator was simple:

Can experienced practitioners of therapeutic touch, when blindfolded, accurately identify a person's "energy field?" 21 practitioners were tested. In each test, participants were asked to identify whether a young girl had placed her hand close to their left or right hand.
By chance alone, the practitioners should have received a score of 50 percent. If the practitioners had the abilities to sense "energy fields," as they claim, they would have answered correctly 100 percent of the time. They got 44 percent correct — somewhat less than chance alone.
The authors concluded that therapeutic touch is "groundless".

But then can't it be just by chance, I mean, just one test can't determine the future of a whole science. Maybe it is just because we don’t have proper technology to prove it.
After all, according to science, even God does not exist. Nobody has seen or touched or proved his presence.

I remember reading a mail once wherein a student proves to his teacher that even 'death' does not exist.

Confused???

The professor claimed that according to science, God does not exist, because nobody has seen, touched, smelt or felt him. Nobody has heard him talk. So according to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says GOD doesn't exist.

To this, let’s have a look at what the student said:

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)
Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, super heat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

Same applies to darkness and death. Darkness is non existent. It is just the absence of light. And death??? Just the absence of life. Isn't it???

But science admits the existence of all these. Can you answer why????

Then after this, the mail had an awesome argument...

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student: Has anyone ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

Well coming back to the point, even in the Vedic literature, we find mentions of energy fields of the body in the Indian culture. We touch our elder’s feet. Ever thought why?

It is because energy is supposed to radiate out from the toes and when you touch it, you can absorb a part of that intellectual energy. The tilak and the bindi in Indian culture are for a similar reason-to stop radiance of the energy of the mind from the point where it is maximum.

I’ll tell you about an incident that happened to me. I was about to leave for Pilani when I went to my grandpa to bid goodbye. As I bent down to touch his feet he placed his hand on my hair and said “khush raho”. Instantly I felt the power he had delivered to me for parting from home, ma’s lap and dad’s parasol. The blessings he wanted to give, the bliss he wanted to transfer……… everything.

I felt it……….. In me. Have you ever felt it??? It may be just a psychological feeling, but it exists, doesn’t it?

Whoa!!!
Well this has become too long I guess. So just to give you a gist of what actually I wanted to say in this post is what follows.

I feel it works… it really works, if not for the heavy ailments then at least for the illness which I would call emotional. In today’s running life, people tend to miss out on the small bits of happiness delivered by the seemingly insignificant things like the lovely touch of your child (pronounce it as tchhaa-aay-aldh to get the feel of the innocence) or the finger wiping off the pearl-tears…….. This is what I call ‘the touch therapy’. These are the things that cost millions…….. Wait…….. They are priceless....

Have you ever felt the radiance some people have? And the liveliness you feel when they are around or the energy they transfer to you when they deliver a vibrant handshake or rather a perfect hug?

Have you ever felt the serenity that you receive in moments of distress when you are sitting all alone and someone comes and takes your hand in their, their other hand on your forehead and then making it move gently past through your hair, and you look at them with eyes thanking loads already when you or them haven’t said a word still????? Have you ever felt that, that one moment has the whole life come inside it as if it was a cocoon, as if life feels very safe in there, like as if it has been running to win some worthless race and it realizes its mistake then, inside that very cocoon of time?

A thanks to 'Him'

One night........ God looked at me....

I was staring at Him with open eyes.......... revealing the anonymity of the questions on my mind. He read them all..... all through the only window of my heart........................ my curious eyes. Eyes that were telling him everything I wanted to ask since long.

"I wanted to teach you......

teach you a lesson......

teach you that not always in life will you get the best..... first.....

and what I have made for you .... will not be given to you so easily.....

so that when you get it as a gift from me.... you value it .......... and cherish it all your life"

I replied ..........

"Thank you God,

thank you always........

for everything You have been giving me

for all that You have done for me

and for everything You will be sending for me........"

And then suddenly........

He presents to me
the very special gift of life
that He had been wanting to give ..........
specially for me.......
made for me .........

like a soft drizzle from the star studded night sky...........
with so many jewels embossed on it
and he presented one to me..........

Showing that He cares so much
and loves me so much

Telling that
it was not for nothing that He taught a lesson
to His dear child...........

.......seasons........

My grandpa

He gets confused sometimes...... Sometimes between the information stored in his mind.

I remember he once asked my tauji (dad's elder bro) about the fees of engg colleges. When asked for whom, he replied for himself........

I was sitting in my room, in pilani. I could feel the lovely breeze blowing into my room from the tiny window and the rustles as though they were touching a wind chime and forcing it to make that pleasing sound of it,

when suddenly a name flashed on my mobile screen.

It was 'home calling'. I picked it up, all excited as i am always when talking back home. This time mum had a news different from our everyday talk. Bauji was diagnosed with Dementia....... i guess....... as it is called, wherein the information in the mind gets all mingled up.

He gets confused with time. With morning and night. Gets ready to take a bath at any odd time of the day, saying it is morning. Wants to go out for a morning walk at one in the night.

He likes playing, playing with things, as if he's gone back to his childhood days......He behaves like an 80 year old but he likes to take the route which a child would take when walking,

like around a car and coming back, and tapping his walking stick here n there........

but ..........that makes me love him more........all the more..........

i got my first job!!!!!!!!!!

i made my first job today -- 6th june

it was morning when my phone rang. It was bansal sir calling.......and it was a job call.
An official appointment letter was right there waiting for me......
Luck had already arrived in my life........the day before............ :)

MY FIRST EVER JOB.....

A full time 9 to 5 job and i am being paid for it. 5000 for a month, working as a teaching assistant for correction of copies n invigilation etc.

Its a different experience looking at student life from a teacher's point of view.
I sit in the faculty staff room, drink the tea that is meant for the faculty (that is me btw......... ahem.......)
and use the staff loo ...... hehe.

For the first time i came to know that the staff room is not a dry place as it looks like from outside.
I knew that students make fun of teachers.... atleast i used to do that.....
but i never knew that teachers make twice as much fun of students.
The staff room bursts out with laughter everytime a student leaves after asking a 'silly' doubt which we all pretended as if it was very genuine when he was inside asking the doubt to a teacher.

Getting such an opportunity for a 12th pass is a real big thing.
Mom n dad were really happy seeing their daughter taste the fruit of hard earned money after shedding of a lot of sweat and travelling in a tempo for 1 hour everyday, forth and back.

Its fun reading the things students write and the way they try to bluff, especially in questions that need proofs.
A student wrote in his answer sheet, after not being able to solve a question..........
"sorry sir, but the problem lies in application...... you are teaching very good but i am not studying"

:) :D
