innocence?

We had got our new car, an A-Star from Maruti Suzuki and obeying tradition, had gone to the temple for performing a 'puja' of the car. Well we intended just a 2 minute ceremony by making a swastik on it, but we got into the hands of a pundit and then there was no saying no. He performed an elaborate half an hour ritual with wierd sounding mantras and then asked us to put a lemon below each of the four tyres.
But this is not what the title is about. The title is about a little boy we found at the temple. A boy of about 7 or 8. My brother Nikhil was using the newly bought digital camera. The camera is sony cybershot DSC T77 with a touch screen and a pretty wide LCD display. Overall it was eye catchy for the destitute. Well, he was an innocent destitute. He stood near Nikhil while he was clicking pics of the 'elaborate' ceremony. After a while the boy asked Nikhil, ' Bhaiya what is this?'. Nikhil's attention shifted for sometime and he replied, ' Its a camera kid, and i am clicking photographs with it'.
The boy was silent for another sometime. Then he spoke again, ' Bhaiya, can u give it to me?'. Nikhil was amazed this time. He couldn't make out if the boy was trying to get hold of the cam and run away or did he not know the rules of social life. He replied,
'Why do you want it, what will you do with it?'
'I will click photographs just like you.'
'But do you even know how to click photographs?'
I will learn, and moreover, I will get something to play with.'
'Then what will i do?'
'You can get another one for yourself.'
